Collaboration Is King

The traditional workstation is going through somewhat of an identity crisis — in some offices it is shrinking, while in others being removed altogether; in some cases it is a shared space, while in others it is a personal and customized space. Whether the root of these changes is out of necessity or continuous evolution of workplace culture, the results are all the same — increased open interaction, natural collaboration, productivity, efficiency and employee camaraderie.

In this issue of Impact, we learn about some of the unique ways collaboration and the changing idea of a workstation can go hand in hand. From a new industry that creates collaboration and community among once-isolated remote workers, to unique products that allow workers to configure smaller workstations for maximum filing power and minimum clutter, and the strategic ways in which companies are increasing collaboration in the workplace — the emerging identity of the workstation is one that enables opportunities for creativity and cooperation.

We’d like to learn more about the continuous evolution of your workspace. Please share your insights with me at SamanthaSwick@OMWorkspace.com, or by participating in our online community on Facebook®.
